Prof. Masaru Ohme-Takagi has found genes which induce ozone tolerance through the regulation of stomatal movement in Arabidopsis.
This study was conducted as a collaborative research with National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences(JIRCAS), National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES), Nagoya University, Okayama University and RIKEN.

The results of the study have been published on the online publication of Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences on the 28th of March, 2016 (US Eastern time).
